:: of food and imaginary relaxation ::

Hello people! :) I'm back from my Malacca trip, more tanned, muscle-aching (you will know why soon enough) and of course, at LEAST 5 kg's heavier. >.< Damn, i'm gone only for a weekend and blogdrive has gone and changed its format. *curses*

Day 1

Arrived Malacca at around 11 plus. Went to check into hotel, Renaissance Hotel, by the way and was told that the rooms were not ready. Please come back in an hour or two. >.< Very good. No matter. Left our luggages at the hotel and proceeded to have FOOD. Bwahahah.

First stop : Satay babi at Kedai Satay Xiang Ji aka Jonker Satay. This is the old place. The more famous one is somewhere in Malacca Raya but we always go to this one cause there are LESS people. *very important if you want speedy service* and well, we like the cute ol' uncle who counts our sticks. :P

Satay. For you? No, for me. :P

The stuffies that come with the satays. It's all about the sauce. Heh.

Hehe. Kalo bapak gua nampak, mampus gua. >.<

"Ish, susah-nye mau makan." Brother wrestling with his satay.

Mmmm. Best. *grin*

Once we were done with LUNCH, it was back to the hotel. So, on the way back, i was bored. *grin*  *coughs!* Ya'll familiar with the "perut kenyang, suka hati" phrase? Yeah. Good.

People, meet my brother, Roland. He is five, a head the size of a football and has no front teeth.

It's unfair how kids have lovely skin. Why did puberty happen?? *sulks* I don't wanna grow up.

Mom, brother and my sister, Emilia. Told you he had no front teeth.

Ooh! Look what i saw! *grin* Overdressed beca. HAHAHAH. I've never rode on those, have you? :)

Anyway, when our rooms were ready, everyone pretty much just plopped on the beds and relaxed. There's just something about hotel beds. The plopping feels good. The sheets were aired and cool...*shivers*

The view outside my parent's room. We were on the 23rd floor. Nice eh? I lurve heights.

The view outside my room. This has got to be my favorite pic. Love the whole "sun shining down" effect. :) That's City Bayview Hotel by the way. Lols.

Later that evening, my parents went to the wedding that I *ahem* was not invited to. *sniffs* It was a nyonya wedding.

My parents. Mom in her kebaya. A bit blur neh. Ada toyol kat belakang.

Cacat-lah the resizing thingy. Oh wells, dad was complaining how my mom's hair made her look taller. Bwahahha.

I want kebaya too... :) Me gonna get one soon! Wheeee! The top is gonna be a light pinkish peach color. Will post up pictures when it's done! :) Will only be ready next month. *grins*

Well, that was day 1. I might as well add that i have no more pictures to share. Wanna know why? Cause my brother, the shin-chan look-alike camwhored by HIMSELF while my sis and i watched tv and ignored him for a bit. He used up the battery. Damnit. Doing THIS s'more....

*sigh*

Day 2

Day 2 was spent, hehehehe....EATING. What else?? For breakfast, we had the famous mee soup at Jalan Tengkera. I've not had it since the beginning of the year. Kempunan gua. Hehe. Another craving satisfied. *winks*

After that, we roamed the streets looking for well, MORE food. But this time, ones to take home la. My mom got her supply of cencaluk and tempoyak. Yummy. It's really too bad that i didn't have my camera. *stares menacingly at brother* Malacca was so busy on Sunday. It seemed as if everyone was out of their house by 9pm. Hehe. Unlike KL. Sundays are for sleeping in. >.<

Look what my mom got me at the wedding. Lols. One of my relatives were selling these really cheap. They're worn with kebaya's. My mom couldn't get her size OR my sister's, so she got them for me. They're a size 4. >.<

Pretty? *grin* But TERRIBLY old-fashioned. I have no reason to wear them being the fashion jakun that i am. Except maybe when i get my kebaya and there's a dinner that i can wear them to. >.<

Another buy...got them for 40 bucks at some street in Malacca. Damn cute lah.

Clogs!! hahahhaha. I can already imagine Aileen rolling her eyes when she sees them. Hee.

Side view. Yes, yes. Totally impractical, but they're actually quite comfy. Hmm. Shall wear them long-distance someday and see whether they'd split into half. *grins mischievously*

For lunch, it was char siew fan. Not very nice i must say. Had to go there coz we only had lunch at 2pm and ALL THE GOOD SHOPS WERE ALREADY CLOSED. Sheesh.

And after THAT, it was tea at the hotel...and munching on MORE snacks in the room. In the afternoon, my mom and i went for a massage at the hotel's fitness centre. it was a w.e.i.r.d. experience. VERY weird. *blushes* not to mention painful. It's my first massage that i had to strip to my undies and have a wrinkly woman beat the crap outta me. >.<

I felt a teeny bit violated too when she massaged my BUM!! At least, until my mom told me that she was massaged there too. >.< So i guess it was alright. *giggles* Sighs. My back hurts a little. *wrinkles nose* No more massages for me! I'll stick to the battery-operated massage thingy from Ogawa for now.

Dinner was SATAY CELUP at Ban Lee's!!! Yays!! Another satisfaction! hahaha. Only managed 18 sticks considering how much i ate before that. Lols. But it was good as always. No matter what people say, Malacca's satay celup is still THE best. *thumbs-up* Not forgetting oy-chien (fried oyster with egg and other stuffs) for supper. Ohmigawd.

Well, that's about it for the weekend. The only good that came out of the so-called "break" that i had was that i was in bed by 10.30pm. Hee. No comp to keep me online till the wee hours of the morning and well, there was nothing good on the tv either. *shrugs* I did go online briefly yesterday, but only because my dad wanted to check his emails, and since he was paying 21 bucks for an hour, he asked me to use the remaining time as i wish. Heh. :)

Well, that's about it on Malacca. Am exhausted from all the eating and uh, eating. Hahha. Ellie's gonna look like a cow this christmas. Sighs. There goes my intention of looking good before going to Singapore. Nyeks.

That's it. The treadmill shall be my best friend from tomorrow onwards. i'm going to go nap now. My overstuffed tummy needs a rest.

Taas. *waves* :)
